Abstract
The complexation of alkali and alkaline earth cations in aqueous solution by crown ethers, diaza crown ethers and cryptands has been studied using pH-metric, calorimetric and competitive calorimetric titrations. Use of different experimental techniques makes it possible for the first time to obtain a large number of stability constants and thermodynamic parameters for complexation between these cations and ligands. Keywords
