Abstract
The cutoff frequency of two ideal types of package is considered, and is shown to limit the maximum rate of rise of voltage for triggering the TRAPATT mode in a commonly employed circuit. The letter also places the negative-inductance concept employed in the analysis on a mathematical foundation. Keywords
