Abstract
To the Editor: Bone-marrow failure in the presence of adequate hematinic substances is a rare finding in pregnancy, and both conditions are coincidental in the majority of the patients.1 In the present case, a pure erythroid aplasia appeared during the pregnant state and remitted after a cesarean section.A 15-year-old gravida 1 was admitted to the hospital in December, 1974, with a history of severe anemia without hemorrhage. The uterus was enlarged to a size consistent with the dates (approximately 24 weeks' gestation). She gave no history of medical, surgical or prior obstetric problems. The hemoglobin was 5.2 g . . .
