Abstract
In the Daïa Mounts (Pretellian Zone, Oranie, Algeria) the Barremian-Aptian interval is divided into 4 successive formations, alternately corresponding to fluvio-deltai'c deposits (Berthelot then Bossuet Sandstones) and to internal shelf/barrier deposits (Zigyne Limestones, Carbonate Djebel Tennfeld Formation). Thanks to the study of benthic Foraminifera (Orbitolinidae, Lituolidae), Algae (Dasycladales) and Ostracods, certain previous datations are impro- ved : thus, the Zigyne Limestones cover the Barremian (Palaeodictyo -con us gr. cuvillieri biozone then Salpingoporella dinarica biozone) and the Aptian stages (Palorbitolina lenticularis biozone, Praeorbitolina cormyi subzone) : Middle/Upper Bedoulian). A level containing large Lituolidae called «Pseudochoffatella» n. sp. is discovered in the Cenomanian beds. Finally, the qualitative and the quantitative analysis of microfacies (description by the Factorial Analysis of Correspondances and classification by the Dynamic Clusters Method) allows to individualize coenotical affinity-clusters and to propose a palaeoecological distribution-sketch of the main organisms recognized in these forKeywords
