Abstract
X-ray powder diffraction patterns were obtained for high-pressure modifications of NH4F and ND4F under purely hydrostatic conditions. The structure of both salts could be indexed in a tetragonal unit cell, a0=10.2 Å, c0=3.37 Å. The transition was observed at 3.64±0.02 kbar for both ND4F and NH4F. The zero-pressure lattice parameters were determined to be a0=4.4389±0.0004 Å, c0=7.1635±0.0004 Å, and a0=4.4378±0.0004 Å, for NH4F and ND4F, respectively. Keywords
