Abstract
A clinicopathological study with electro-oculographic recording of a patient with periodic alternating gaze (PAG) is presented. There have been five previously reported anatomical observations of patients with this disorder. Bilateral cerebral disease with a mesencephalic lesion is observed. A study of oculovestibular reactions suggests that the generator of PAG is independent of the vestibular system
