Abstract
The absolute differential cross sections for the six lowest-lying levels of excited by the reaction have been measured for 47.5-MeV incident energy. A distorted-wave analysis yields relative spectroscopic factors which are apparently not in good agreement with those obtained from the () reaction. Transitions with large transfer are strongly favored over those with small . Further, the theoretical predictions for small are sensitive to the treatment of the contributions from the nuclear interior. The precise value of is not easily determined from angular-distribution measurements at this bombarding energy.
