Methyl Testosterone in the Diet of Chicks and Growth of the Nematode Ascaridia galli

Abstract
In New Hampshire chicks, fed methyl testosterone at the rate of 20 mg./kg. growing mash and exposed to 50 [plus or minus] infective A. galli eggs, the A. galli were significantly larger at 3 weeks after exposure than in controls fed only the basal ration. Worm numbers (percentage development) did not differ significantly in the 2 groups of chicks.
