Abstract
In this paper we shall examine some applications of fuzzy set theory in the area of communications and information systems. With the advent of computers, the telephone and the television, there are potentialities of all kinds of communication services into the home. Fuzzy problems are very likely to occur with user groups requesting methods to understand fuzzy needs. Thus problems in fuzzy communication, fuzzy problem-solving, fuzzy information retrieval, and fuzzy teleconferencing have direct applications of fuzzy set theory, which are considered. Keywords
