Abstract
This paper presents some considerations that affect the realization of a high-level microprogramming language translation system. A major problem discussed is concurrency recognition and microcode optimization for horizontal machines. Several design objectives are also presented that the authors believe defme the nature of a high-level language system for implementing microprograms. Keywords
