Abstract
We report on a series of new lasers involving transitions in Na, K, Rb, and Cs. Pulsed output powers of 1–10 kW have been obtained on the alkali‐metal resonance lines. Details of the photodissociative excitation process have been studied in order to optimize these lasers. Keywords
