Abstract
Immunosuppressive treatment enhances risk of pulmonary and other infections. Tuberculosis is a predictable complication in transplanted patients. Present material comprises 584 kidney transplantation patients, 10 of whom had previous tuberculosis history. After transplantation 10 patients presented with pulmonary tuberculosis during immunosuppressive treatment. One patient to whom no prophylactic anti-tuberculous treatment was given presented with a relapsing tuberculosis. Routine anti-tuberculous treatment results were excellent but graft and patient survival were disappointing among the tuberculosis patients. Keywords
