Abstract
Using immunofluorescence, somatostatin was localized in the forebrain of the goldfish and Gambusia. Immunoreactive cell bodies were detected in the nucleus preopticus periventricularis, the nucleus lateralis tuberis and a dorsomedial nucleus at the level of the posterior nucleus anterioris periventricularis and of the rostral part of the nucleus ventromedialis thalami. In the pituitary, immunoreactive terminals were restricted to the proximal pars distalis. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
