Abstract
Female goats were artifically inseminated with undiluted ram semen the resulting embryos removed aseptically from the uterus after 24 to 33 days. The embryonic liver cells were cultured in Eagle''s medium centrifuged the chromosomes of these embryos examined with the light microscope. No abnormalities of chromosome number or structure were found. It is concluded that mortality of hybrid goat-sheep embryos cannot be explained on cytological grounds. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
