Abstract
The multiple personality is discussed with an emphasis upon the complications of differential diagnosis caused either by malingering or the unconscious adoption of this state by histrionic individuals through the inadvertant suggestions of the hypnotist. Several forensic cases are presented in which the multiple personality was utilized as a defense through a plea of diminished responsibility. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
