Abstract
The best therapeutic options for serious infections due to vancomyci resistant Enterococcus (VRE) remain unclear. We describe the successful treatment of vancomycin resistant Enterococcus faecium bacteremia in 2 patients using daptomycin. We also briefly review the literature on antibiotic options for VRE infection including the use of daptomycin. Keywords
