Abstract
The reaction of cotinine (2) with alkyl lithium followed by the reduction with NaBH3CN in acidic methanol gave cis and trans-5''-alkylnicotines (3 and 4). The stereochemistry of the products was discussed.This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
