Abstract
Among the synthetically useful applications of tosylmethyl isocyanide (TosMIC, 1) the one-step conversion of ketones to nitriles takes a prominent position. Thus far, however, the reaction, which introduces one additional carbon, has been applied to ketones only (Reaction 1).2Keywords
