Abstract
Field trials carried out with honeybees as pollinators of lowbush blueberry in 1968 showed significant increases in per cent fruit set over that obtained by native bees alone. Previous studies with honeybees have given inconsistent results. The high sets obtained in 1968 were attributed to a greater concentration of bees working on blueberry because of a scarcity of floral competition.
