Abstract
Experiments measuring the shift in the critical temperature of binary fluid mixtures confined between closely spaced parallel plates are discussed in the light of new quantitative developments in finite-size scaling theory. Large discrepancies between theory and observation highlight the need for further experiments and/or theoretical analyses. Keywords
