Abstract
Investigation of red phosphorus with a mass spectrometer shows the element to be monoisotopic to 1 part in 50,000. The relative abundances of the molecules resulting from electron bombardment of natural phosphorus are given, and the existence of the molecule P8 in nature is reported. Keywords
