Abstract
A new and very simple interpretation of the reaction based on intersecting, real, and Regge trajectories is proposed. The most dominant physical features of the differential cross section and polarization data directly determine the main characteristics of the , which turn out to be completely different from those based on a belief in parallel trajectories. The trajectory thus determined is compatible with the recently discovered spin-one resonance of mass 1968 MeV.
