Flow of gases at low pressures: temperature dependence of flow coefficients

Abstract
Experimental values of the isothermal permeability coefficients and heats of transport for helium, neon, and argon flowing through stainless steel capillaries at 273 and 390 K are reported. These data, together with previous results obtained at 328 K, are compared with the predictions of the “dusty gas” theory. In addition, values of the second-order coefficients, which are a measure of the degree of deviation from linearity in the flux-force equations, are reported for helium at 273 and 390 K.
