Abstract
Pontamine sky blue injected intra-dermally into allergic tuberculous guinea pigs spreads more slowly than does the dye injected into normal guinea pigs. In animals with advanced tuberculosis and which are moribund the dye spreads more rapidly and to a greater extent than in normal animals. There is no significant difference in the rate of spread between guinea pigs giving a 4+ reaction and a 2+ reaction to 0.1 mg. of tuberculo-protein. In guinea pigs infected with the streptococcus responsible for epizootic lymphadenitis and which are allergic to the specific bacterial extracts, the spread of the dye is somewhat more restricted than in normal guinea pigs. Keywords
