Abstract
Measurements of the proton spin‐lattice relaxation time (T1) carried out at 18.775 MHz in two H2–Ne mixtures are presented. Values for T1/ρ)∞lin, accurate to within 2% are deduced for ten temperatures between 99 and 296 K. These data are compared with values obtained from close‐coupled scattering calculations for a Hartree–Fock plus damped dispersion (HFD) model potential energy surface, allowing a refined anisotropic contribution to be determined. Keywords
