Abstract
Three different heat-inactivated, phenol-treated and tissure-culture-adapted vaccines were prepared and tested for immunologic responses when administered to susceptible pigeons. The demonstrated immunologic responses induced by either of the 2 inactivated-virus vaccines were poor (12-15% survival rate). The living avirulent cell-culture-adapted virus vaccines provided good protection (90-100% survival rates) against challenge inoculation 28 days postinoculation. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
