Abstract
Phase transitions in betaine compounds are reviewed. Some topics are selected for detailed presentation: Effects of reorientation and frustration in the (BA - DBA)-system and the (BA - BP)-system are touched. The (p, T)-phase diagram of BCCD and its relation to the ANNNI- model is discussed at some length. Recent ESR- and NMR- experiments in BCCD are also mentioned. Keywords
