ROENTGEN DEMONSTRATION OF PROLAPSE OF BENIGN POLYPOID GASTRIC TUMORS INTO THE DUODENUM, INCLUDING A DUMBBELL-SHAPED LEIOMYOMA

Abstract
The roentgen findings of polypoid gastric tumors including those that prolapse into the duodenum are discussed and illustrated. Three patients presented characteristic roentgen appearances of prolapse. One of these tumors was a dumbbell-shaped leiomyoma that arose in the omental sac and extended into the stomach. No other case has been reported in the literature of a dumbbell-shaped gastric leiomyoma whose intragastric component herniated into the duodenum.
