Abstract
Trypanosoma canadensis Woo 1969, from Rana pipiens, developed to the metacyclic stage in Placobdella sp. The metacyclic stage was reached in 20 days at 22–24 °C. Epimastigotes and transitional stages occurred in the crop and gastric caeca and had fine yellow granules in the posterior part of the body. Epimastigotes divided evenly and metacyclic stages were found mainly in the crop.
