Abstract
Treatment of 11 patients suffering from onchocerciasis with diethylcarbamazine [Hetrazan] confirms the current view that the drug may cause death of the cutaneous microfilariae and the temporary relief of symptoms, but does not kill the adult worm and, therefore, is not to be regarded as a cure for the disease. Keywords
