Abstract
Oral administration of Ca lactate (1.8-4.4 gm. per kgm. per day) will keep dogs free from tetany after complete thyroparathyroidectomy. Very young dogs and dogs in the later part of pregnancy required more Ca to prevent tetany (6-12 gm. per kgm.). Cow''s milk did not prevent tetany in dogs. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
