Abstract
There is no sexual dimorphism in head shape in Phocoenoides dalli. Palatal rugosities and "gum teeth" probably wear down with use. The true teeth are not functionless. Ossified septa are present in the dental alveoli as in Phocoena. The scapula is not strikingly different from that in Phocoena as regards length relative to breadth. The manus is relatively longer and thinner than in Phocoena and the digits are of greater curvature. It is suggested that Phocoenoides truei be synonymized with P. dalli. The Dall propoise is a permanent resident off San Francisco, Calif. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
