Abstract
A method is developed for analyzing the outer part of the small-angle x-ray or neutron scattering curve for porous scatterers in which the pore boundaries can be described by fractals. When the results are applied to the scattering data from a lignite coal, the fractal dimension of the boundary surface of the pores in this coal is found to be 2.56 ±0.03.Keywords
