Abstract
The authors studied the esophageal changes occurring during the course of epidermolysis bullosa hereditaria dystrophica seu polydysplastica. Changes of this type have never so far been seen in epidermolysis bullosa simplex nor in epidermolysis bullosa dystrophica dominans seu hyper-plastica. The 5 cases here described are of epidermolysis bullosa dystrophica seu polydysplastica. In addition to general treatment with prednisone, vitamins A and C, spasmolytics, and eventually depot-liquemin, it is of great importance, in the presence of a fixed stenosis, to undertake esophagoscopy and the passage of a bougie under anaesthesia on relaxed and extended patients. Keywords
