Abstract
To the Editor: We read with great interest the paper by Drs. Schussler, Schaffner and Korn on serum thyroid hormone binding in patients with chronic active liver disease in the September 7, 1978, issue of the Journal, and we are grateful for their acknowledgment in footnote of our publication on a similar theme.1 Schussler and his colleagues point out that, whereas they found consistent elevation of thyroid hormone binding capacity measured by triiodothyronine resin uptake in 18 patients with chronic active liver disease, we, on the other hand, found in 42 euthyroid patients with chronic active hepatitis that thyroid . . .Keywords
