Abstract
Both 2‐ and 3‐pyrrolemethanols hearing electron‐withdrawing ring substituants react with alcohols in the presence, of acid to produce ethers. Dipyrrylmethanes are formed only as byproducts under these conditions. Other reactions of these pyrrolemethanols are described. Keywords
