Abstract
Measurements made on the radioactivity of Pb were reviewed. Levels in the range of 70-0 pCi 210Pb/g Pb were reported. The origin of the radiation was identified as 210Pb and its decay products, 210Bi and 210Po. A study of instrumentation showed that methods were available for making measurements on Pb to ascertain the low-levels desired for shielding purposes.
