Abstract
The insecticides Sumithion, Lannate, Carbicron, Thiodan and Kelthane, the fungicides Dithane M-45 and Aladrin, and the herbicides Ramrod, Lasso, Round Up and Gramoxone induced acute mitostatic effects on V. faba root meristematic cells. Pycnotic nuclei and premature chromosome condensation were also evident. Also Carbicron, Kelthane, Lasso and Ramrod induced anaphase bridges were accompanied by relatively scarce micronuclei.
