Abstract
Virulent (wild) murine cytomegalovirus results in morbidity, weight loss, immunosuppression and death in infected mice. An attenuated, tissue culture-passaged strain of CMV protected mice from the morbid, immunosuppressive and lethal effects of subsequent challenge with virulent virus. Vaccination with attenuated CMV led to an enhanced humoral antibody response to SRBC [sheep red blood cells] and decreased mean skin graft survival time. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
