Abstract
Ecg. studies in 55 children with poliomyelitis showed nonspecific abnormalities in 13. These changes included Q wave abnormalities, S-T segment and T wave changes, prolongation of P-R and of Q-T. The lowest incidence of changes was in the nonparalytic group, the highest in the bulbospinal. The association of ecg. changes with respiratory muscle paralysis suggests that anoxemia may be the etiologic factor in their production. Keywords
