Abstract
Studies of acoustic relaxation have been made on dilute solutions of three tactic forms of poly(methyl methacrylate) and two of poly(α-methylstyrene). The relaxation dynamics vary markedly with stereo-form, and the conformational energetics compare well with “flex-energies” derived from statistical mechanical theories of the glass transition. Keywords
