Abstract
The present work describes the use of glass capillary column gas chromatography in analysing trace amounts of a mixture of diazinon, parathion, malathion, β-endosulfan and cyanazine in natural water. Sample preparation for capillary GC is discussed. In certain cases special techniques have been used for clean-up. The techniques used for detection were flame ionization and electron capture detection. GC-MS was used as a confirmatory method. An approach to determination and confirmation of unknown degradation products of pesticides in the samples is discussed. Keywords
