Abstract
In a case review over a 9-yr period, 35 patients referred to the University Hospital, Amman, Jordan, with a variety of abdominal symptoms related to the gastrointestinal tract, had diverticular disease of the colon. In a retrospective evaluation of 274 consecutive Ba enemas performed at the same institute in patients aged 20-85 yr; in a 3-yr period (1979-1981), colonic diverticula were found in 11 patients, giving an incidence of 4%; all positive enemas for diverticulosis in this group occurred in patients over the age of 40 yr.This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
