Abstract
A method is proposed for determining weak areas in a system in the emergency state with subsequent identification of strategies to correct for the weaknesses and return the system to its normal state. A fast sensitivity type algorithm identifies the weak areas and a "depth-first" search finds the configuration of circuits and nodes in each area. The concept of a strength index is introduced by which the severity of an emergency can be assessed and priorities can be assigned to remedial measures. A numerical example illustrates the possibilities of the strategy. Keywords
