New Characteristics of Multiple Meson Production

Abstract
It is shown that the multiple meson production of the extremely high energy nuclear interaction takes place through quite a new mechanism in the course of the analysis of the experimental data of the high energy jets. A definite number of a new sort of quantum is emitted, and it is supposed to convert itself subsequently into several mesons. The basic nature of this new quantum is obtained as follows; the mass of quantum is about 2Mc2, Mc2 is the nucleon mass, and it decays into secondary mesons through the dipole type radiation, when the polarization axis is in the incident directin. Lorentz factor of emitted quantum in C. M. S. of the collision shows a certain regularity which seems to correspond to a new type of the quantization. As one of the possibilities of nuderstanding these ever unexplored characteristics, a special concept is introduced, that is, a “constant virtuality”, a constant transfer of virtual four momenta between emitted quanta, and between nucleon and quantum. The distribution of virtuality is examined in the experimental data using kinematics just mentioned. The mean value of virtuality appears to be 1 Bev/c.
