Abstract
The relationship between amplitude and latency of the H [Hoffmann] reflex and [direct muscle] response was studied in normal man by the recruitment method and the Jendrassik maneuver. An increase of amplitude was accompanied by a decrease of latency in both responses. This effect was ascribed to a large recruitment of muscle fibers.
