Abstract
Synopsis: A hitherto undocumented benthonic shelly fauna from within the graptolitic mudstones of Laggan Burn is largely confined to the brachiopod Onniella williamsi sp. nov. and the trilobite Diacanthaspis ( D. ) trippi sp. nov. The fauna is of early Caradoc age and is considered to represent a rare occurrence of an indigenous deep water shelly biofacies within the outer shelf or slope environment of the middle Ordovician of the Girvan district. This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
