Abstract
The errors inherent in making whole-kidney measurements of glomerular filtration rate or renal plasma flow during periods of changing urine flow are discussed. The quantitative relationships of these errors to the dead space of the collecting system, changes in urine flow, and the duration of the collection period are presented.Keywords
