Abstract
The chromosomes of five strains of Callosobruchus maculatus (Fab.) originating from four different countries were compared in male germ-line cells. All had 2n = 20 which paired to form 9 II + Xy at MI. No typical, nucleolus-associated Xyp sex complex was observed in any strain.Keywords
