Abstract
Leg ulcers are costly to both patients and also the NHS. It is therefore of paramount importance that the treatment regimen is based on a holistic assessment to determine the underlying aetiology. It is only then that an appropriate treatment plan can be formulated. This article reviews the issues involved in the holistic assessment of leg ulcers. Keywords
